Child Health Surveillance
Training should include both theoretical courses and practical experience.
- Theoretical courses should normally be for a period of six
sessions, with a minimum of four sessions. A certificate of attendance
should be provided.
- Appropriate practical experience will normally be gained by
attending six sessions at the following: child health clinics; clinical
teaching in the practice; or special clinical teaching sessions, which
may be held within the setting of general practice. At the completion of
a course, doctors should demonstrate their competence to an approved
trainer.
