GPR Questionnaire
One of the most useful sources of teacher evaluation is from their
students. This questionnaire, completed by the GP registrar in the final few weeks
of their training, has formed a valuable feedback tool generating
evidence about the GPR year experience and on training as a whole. The
Deanery is keen to keep in touch with Severn and Wessex GP ‘graduates’
to help plan post VTS training and education courses, and to get better
information on career preferences and workforce planning.
An improved and more specific questionnaire has been devised in
conjunction with trainer and VTS groups.
GPRs are encouraged to discuss the questionnaire with their trainer in
the ninth or tenth month of the year, in order to complete the report as
fully as possible. If you have had two or more different trainers in
Severn and Wessex, please complete Section 1 of the questionnaire for
each trainer.

Professor Smith will review the resulting information, and copy it to
the local associate director and GP registrar representative (GP
Education Committee). It may also be used in a cumulative form - when no
individual post or person will be identified - to help pinpoint the
educational strengths and weaknesses of GP training in Severn and
Wessex.
