British Medical Association
The BMA publishes a booklet entitled “Vocational Training
for General Practice”, which includes notes about all the relevant
regulations; it is available free of charge to BMA members. Further

Royal College of General Practititoners
Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners may well be of
assistance to a doctor seeking appointment to a practice of high quality.
There is an entrance examination, details of which can be found on their
website.
Associate membership of the college is available to all GP specialist
trainees and the package includes administration of much of the paperwork
leading the CCT via the PMETB. There are courses and information provided
for GPSTs. We recommend you apply for associate membership as soon as you
are appointed to one of our training rotations.
